Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are three essential amino acids — Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine — that play a critical role in muscle protein synthesis and energy production during exercise. Unlike other amino acids, BCAAs are metabolized primarily in the muscle rather than the liver, making them particularly important for athletes and active individuals.
