Who should be cautious with whey protein

Milk allergy is not the same as lactose intolerance. If you're lactose intolerant, whey isolate or hydrolysate (very low lactose) usually solves the problem. But if you have a true milk/dairy protein allergy, whey itself is the allergen — isolate and hydrolysate still contain milk protein and are not safe.
