Turmeric is a bright yellow spice commonly used in Indian cuisine and traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Its primary active compound, curcumin, is responsible for most of its health benefits. Curcumin is a powerful antioxidant with well-studied anti-inflammatory properties.
One challenge with curcumin is poor natural absorption. This is why we always recommended enhanced forms (with piperine/black pepper or liposomal delivery) to our customers.
Commonly used to support joint comfort and healthy mobility, especially in active individuals and older adults.
May help promote a balanced inflammatory response throughout the body.
Emerging research suggests curcumin may support brain health and mood through its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Turmeric and curcumin are very safe when taken at recommended doses. Enhanced forms improve absorption significantly.
Hundreds of studies have investigated curcumin's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. A 2017 meta-analysis of seven randomized controlled trials found that curcuminoids significantly reduced knee osteoarthritis pain compared to placebo, though they were less effective than ibuprofen. Enhanced forms show significantly better absorption and clinical results than plain turmeric powder.
